GLM-5.5 looks to be well into post-training. We found it named in a Z.ai intern’s public profile, which describes coding work on the company’s next-generation base model. 1 2
The profile describes an end-to-end coding post-training effort using quant-finance training environments and a coding sandbox. It also mentions internal 32B, 122B and 256B models being post-trained and merged into the base model. Those are the internal models listed in the excerpt, rather than announced sizes for a public GLM-5.5 release. 2
The name is attached to a researcher’s account of training work, which makes this a useful sign that the next GLM release is taking shape. The emphasis on coding environments gives us something more specific to watch for when it arrives.
The same profile refers to research on self-evolution in financial coding. We have covered that RSI finding separately, because it gives a broader view of what Z.ai appears to be trying with its agents.
Our expectation is that coding will be a major part of the GLM-5.5 pitch. We would like to see it arrive soon, but this finding gives us no release date or benchmark results yet. The original capture above preserves the wording now that the linked profile commit is no longer publicly retrievable.
